This section guides you through setting up and configuring the Microsoft Teams components needed to integrate Elqano with your Teams environment. You’ll learn how to create and register a Teams bot, install the custom Teams application, and connect everything together.

How is Chat Bot set up in Elqano?

Pre-requisite

  • Elqano infrastructure and application up and running
  • Ability to create:
    • A bot in the Azure Bot Service and to issue a “client secret” for Microsot Teams
    • Upload a custom application to Teams

Check list

  • Teams:
    • Create the Azure Bot Channel Registration
    • Register the chat bot in Elqano
    • Install the Microsoft Teams package

Validate

  • Teams
    • Add the bot to a Team in Microsoft Teams
    • Ask a question to the bot
      • Directly in a one to bot conversation
      • In the team chanel with the @Elqano mention
    • Validate by checking that a confirmation message is sent by the bot
